11/29/1896-The wooden steamer Fayette Brown suffered ice damage on the lake and sought shelter in Lac La Belle for repairs.

11/29/1903-Caught in a snowstorm the steel steamer J.T. Hutchinson ran aground on a reef about 5 miles west of Eagle Harbor but was recovered.

11/29/1841-US Congress transfers control of the lead lands from Treasury Dept. to Ordinance Dept. of Sect of War

11/30/1926-The steel steamer City of Bangor, carring a load of Chryslers and Whippet cars, wrecked on the shoreline near Keweenaw Point
