Missing In The Copper Country
August 8 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Adventures in History Series
Lynette Webber, Keweenaw NHP
While some of the built history of the Keweenaw Peninsula is easy to spot roadside, the landscape familiar to residents during the copper boom has changed. Join Lynette as she presents the 2016 National Freeman Tilden Award project “Missing in the Copper Country.” This project integrates the current landscape with scenes from the past using image modification technology, transporting viewers back in time to the boom years by blending old photographs and new technology. This multi-faceted program involved youth programming, co-creation, original research and social media. Several Keweenaw County images will premier during this Adventures in History program.
