Keweenaw County Historical Society

Caretakers of the past, stewards of the future

The Miner's Home

Keweenaw County Historical Society MEMBERSHIP offers opportunities to stay in an historic Keweenaw County building.

Step back in time and discover where the term "homey" came from.
Except for a few minor alterations to provide modern amenities, this house is a perfect example of an early industrial age workingman's home. Located in historic Central, there is plenty to do and explore here. A stay in the Miner's Home is the next best thing to a time machine to experience our local history.

Reserve The Miner's Home (Members Only)  Reservations for 2022 are being taken by Carol Todd at 269-330-4219 starting on June 1, 2021.  Weeks are still available for 2021 AND 2022.  Please call Carol at the reservation's number.
