The Miner's HomeKeweenaw County Historical Society MEMBERSHIP offers opportunities to stay in an historic Keweenaw County building. Step back in time and discover where the term "homey" came from. Central is a true ghost town centrally located (get it?) in the Keweenaw, so you are close to everything the peninsula has to offer. There are foot trails and logging roads to help explore the site, or wander off to other sites and towns.

PUBLIC AUCTION OF ORIGINAL PAINTING- Mr. Jorgensen commissioned artist Clyde Mikkola to paint scenes of the Shipwreck City of Bangor for his book cover. The author donated the painting to the Keweenaw County Historical Society to be used as a fundraiser. It will be sold to the highest bidder. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING A BID: Keweenaw County Historical Society *An email will be sent to you to acknowledge your bid was received. The winner will be announced at our November 2027 board meeting.
